  • For those of you who have loved ones in the Military

In my Mommy Group there was a discussion raised what does freedom mean to you? I had a hard time answering this question actually.
Then a member told me her sister is diligent in thanking service women and men. She asked if Rick gets thanked a lot and how does it make him feel.

So I ask you does your spouse get thanked a lot? Do people say anything to you? How does your husband react to the appreciation?

My husband doesn't get thanked very often, but that's only because we live right near an air base in Germany so EVERYONE is in the service.  Once we move to Little Rock, it will be the same situation.  There are so many service members there that it's kind of like old news.  However, when we are visiting family and come across someone who doesn't know, they are always very appreciative.  I've even received thank you notes from sellers on Half.com when they send me merchandise (they must know what an APO address is).

When my husband does get thanked, he just gets sort of shy and humble about it.  He would rather change the subject then actually be proud of himself for a moment LOL.
